IDEXX Synergy Grand Opening

IDEXX Synergy grand opening celebration

More than 1,500 employees and invited guests recently celebrated the official opening of IDEXX Laboratories’ new Synergy Center in Westbrook, Maine. Designed by Lavallee Brensinger Architects and built by PC Construction, the three-story, 108,000-square-foot facility is the crown jewel of IDEXX’s international headquarters campus.

This point was underscored when CEO Jonathan Ayers told attendees the new $26 million facility has been described both as “Google-esque” and “the nicest corporate office in Maine.” He also noted IDEXX traditionally has invested largely in laboratories and technology versus office space. However, Ayers said as the company matured, it became important to construct an administrative environment befitting the caliber of IDEXX professionals and the work they accomplish, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle.
