Saint Michael’s College Student Center and Residential Hall

This project includes a new three-story, 40,000-square-foot student center and four-story, 43,000-square-foot residence hall to help meet the College’s student growth. The student center features a café, grille, lounges, fitness center, meeting space, offices, radio station, multi-purpose room with lecture-style seating for 400, and meditation and interfaith room with a solarium. The residence hall includes 22 four-person suites, 15 single rooms and housing for residential life staff. Energy-efficiency features include a geothermal heat pump system that is designed to perform 55% better than current energy-code compliant buildings.

The project was completed within a 16-month schedule on a tight footprint, which required isolating the construction activity from a very active campus.
